We just finished the first run of our own version of a German gambling game called Gluckshaus which dates at least to the 1500's. It uses dice and a betting board and is a quick, easy game to learn that could be played by participants in a Renfair pub, or even something that could include patrons for a few quick rounds.
3-Finger Rule: An unwritten rule at some faires that womens' bodices should not expose more than three finger's width of cleavage. Don't you wish it also applied to plumbers?
Gluckshaus is an old German dice game and I'm currently in the proccess of designing the art for a board to add to our line of fabric games. It should be ready in time for MNRF and we're toying with the idea of offering a special "German Game Set" that would include Gluckshaus, our German cards naughty dice, and maybe our Pope Joan board that includes the rules for a 15th century Germand card game called "Poch".
